SKS N70 Direct Fit 44MM Turbo
This specification targets great low down response and the ability to carry the performance/boost efficiently throughout the rev range. The SKS 1kd-44 turbo has a high response turbine wheel, larger and more efficient compressor wheel, upgraded thrust bearings, 40% stronger main shaft and a gate system. Its design boost is 40 psi and can be operated efficiently from 10 – 35psi Max. Suggested tuning to 35psi.Vehicle Fitment:
This Turbo is a complete Bolt On option for the 1KD-FTV engine! No modifications required to fit it, just remove your old standard turbo and fit this turbo up with the supplied gaskets. This turbo retains use of the factory VNT – no issues with other aftermarket turbos that switch to a gated setup.Performance Expectations
Standard the 1KD-FTV produces 127kW and 343-400nm of engine power/torque which when measured at the wheels becomes around 270-310Nm and 92-96kW.Typically, when used in conjunction with a customer intercooler and ECU piggyback, power is increased to around 140-200rwkW and torque to 700nm depending on the year of the vehicle. Installations with a large intercooler, 3” exhaust and an upgraded injectors have yielded results as high as 200+rwkw and torque over 700nm at the wheels.
